How to create a Google Review QR code
- Click the Review tab at the top.
- Open Google's Place ID Finder in a new tab, search your business, and copy the Place ID.
- Paste it into the Google Place ID field.
- Tap the star count you'd like pre-filled (5 is the default — most owners want a 5-star prompt).
- Customise colours/shape/logo if you want, then download as PNG, JPG or SVG.
The generated QR opens search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=… when scanned. Note that Google sometimes ignores the star pre-fill and just opens the review form — the form itself always opens correctly.
How to create a WiFi QR code
- Click the WiFi tab.
- Type your network name (SSID) and password exactly as configured on the router.
- Pick the encryption type — almost all modern networks use WPA / WPA2.
- Tick "Hidden network" only if your SSID is not broadcast.
- Print the QR and stick it somewhere visible — guests scan and are connected without typing.
Adding your logo
Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG logo and it appears centred in the QR. To keep the QR scannable around the logo, set the error correction level to Highest in the Error correction section. The QR encoder adds enough redundant data that scanners read past the logo without trouble. Keep the logo to ~20% of the QR area for best results.
Customising the look
The Shape style and Colours sections let you make the QR match your brand. Try:
- Rounded or Classy rounded dots for a friendlier look
- Extra rounded corner squares to soften the three positioning markers
- Custom dot and corner colours for an on-brand palette (keep the contrast against the background high — pale-on-white kills scannability)
- A coloured background instead of plain white
PNG vs JPG vs SVG — which format to download
- PNG is the recommended default. Lossless, sharp dots, small file, accepted everywhere.
- JPG is useful when an upload form specifically requires JPG. Lossy compression can introduce subtle smudging on small QRs — use medium or large sizes.
- SVG is vector — scales infinitely without quality loss. Use it for posters, large prints or wherever the QR will be displayed at multiple sizes.
