What about transparency?
JPG does not support transparency. If your WebP has transparent regions (alpha channel), they're composited onto a plain white background before encoding. Animated WebP
Animated WebP files are supported — but JPG is a single-frame format, so only the first frame of an animation is converted. The remaining frames are discarded. For animated content, look for a WebP-to-GIF converter instead.
What gets stripped
To keep output JPGs lean, the converter strips embedded EXIF, IPTC and ICC profile data. The visible pixel content is preserved exactly; only the invisible metadata is dropped.
